He has over 25 years of legal experience and his work covers both transactional and contentious matters in insolvency, restructuring and debt recovery. He is adept in commercial, banking and Islamic finance and corporate work including cross-border and offshoring matters. His specialist industry sectors include banking and finance, construction (including EPC), technology, energy, transport and logistics, manufacturing, retail, leisure and hospitality.
Younes started his career as an auditor (CPA & MBA) with one of the Big Four before becoming a lawyer. Thereafter he was a Consultant at EEI Solicitors and Head of Corporate Affairs for Kinetic and Transfesa.

Younes is in-house Legal Counsel for the Moroccan Consulate in London, the Vice President of the Moroccan Foreign Practising Lawyers Association (Réseau Avocats MRE) and Head of Corporate Commercial at the award-winning Bakkali Law Firm in Morocco (Legal 500 and Global 100 MENA Region).
Our association with Bakkali Law Firm, in Tangier, one of the region’s oldest, provides an additional point of contact for overseas clients or those working in the region.
